Tiffin University's men's wrestling team has been ranked 24th in the nation in the latest Open Mat poll.

Tiffin was the second-highest G-MAC school in the rankings, as Lake Erie was also ranked 18th.

Six other TU wrestlers were individually ranked. Anthony Aniciete was the highest at 125 pounds as he was ranked 8th. Aniciete finished 32-4 last season with 5 pins.

David Davis landed 9th at 174 pounds. He was 28-8 overall also with 5 falls.

Two Dragons were ranked 11th in the nation. Max Shore (133 pounds) and Casey Barnett (165) landed those honors. Shore led the nation in tech falls with 17 while also leading the team with a 34-8 mark with 6 falls. Barnett, meanwhile, finished 14-4 with 6 pins.

Nolan Gessler (149) was placed 17th, while Jake Powell (285) was 19th. Gessler was 17-9 last season while Powell was 23-11 for Wheeling. He finished fourth or better in all but one tourney last season before coming to Tiffin.
