Tiffin University returns to the road for a conference game with Walsh Oct. 19 at 12 pm.
Overall Tiffin has an 10-8 career record against the Cavaliers but have won eight consecutive meetings dating back to 2015. The Dragons have not lost to Walsh in 10 years and have outscored the Cavaliers over the last three seasons 138-29. Last year Tiffin won 40-13.Â
LAST TIME OUT
Tiffin only allowed two field goals on offense against Ohio Dominican, holding the ball for nearly 13 minutes more than the Panthers in a 31-13 victory. Tiffin held a commanding 19-6 lead in first downs and outgained ODU 422-171 including 204-33 on the ground. Tiffin shrugged off three interceptions and held the Panthers to just 1-for-13 on third-down conversions.Â
WALSH NOTES
The Cavaliers have won two in a row including a thrilling 36-35 overtime victory last week at Hillsdale, their first win over the Chargers in school history. Their only conference loss was a 44-21 defeat to Thomas More. Their three conference wins over Kentucky Wesleyan, Hillsdale, and Lake Erie have a combined overall record of 4-14. They've got the highest scoring offense in the G-MAC averaging 37.7 points per game and have the best rushing attack in the G-MAC, averaging 189.8 yards per game on the ground. They are outscoring their opponents 226-158 (+68). Defensively, Walsh ranks seventh in the conference by allowing an average of 26.3 points per game. Â
PASSING: A duo of quarterbacks have seen playing time. T.C. Molk has played in five games and is 46-of-66 for 740 yards with five touchdowns and zero interceptions.
