Tiffin University (4-16, 2-10 G-MAC) could not overcome shooting woes after halftime, falling at Ohio Dominican 54-45.
The Dragons came back numerous times throughout the first half and managed to trail at halftime just 27-26 despite shooting 30 percent in the first half.
After taking a one-point lead early in the third quarter, the Dragons' offense suddenly went cold as the Panthers erupted on a 19-5 run that pushed them ahead early in the fourth quarter by 13 points. TU shot just 17 percent in the third quarter and could not manage to catch up in the final period.
The Dragons matched ODU in most statistical categories but were outshot in the game 40 percent to 26 percent.Â
The Panthers also took better advantage of TU turnovers. While both teams had 22 miscues, the Panthers held a 21-12 edge in points off turnovers.
Catara Dejarnette was the lone TU player in double figures, as she had 14 points with 8 rebounds.
Kirsten Williams also had 9 pointsj and 4 assists.
Grace Craig came off the bench for 8 points and 8 rebounds while
Presley Feltner also had 5 points with 5 rebounds.
