Box Score Tiffin University (4-13, 2-7 G-MAC) could not bounce back from a rough first half, falling to Kentucky Wesleyan 84-46.
Tiffin was outshot in the first half 51 percent to 31 percent, as the Panthers led 21-7 after one quarter and 48-17 at the half. The Panthers were lethal from long range, hitting 8 three-pointers before halftime while Tiffin did not manage to get to the free throw line until midway through the third quarter.
Tiffin bounced back with their best quarter coming out of the halftime lockerroom, outscoring KWC 17-15 while shooting 46 percent.Â
Turnovers also cost the Dragons, as they had 14 at halftime and 25 for the game. The Panthers held a 38-9 edge in points off turnovers while also holding a 28-20 advantage in the paint even though Tiffin outrebounded them 33-29.
Kentucky Wesleyan also held a 14-8 edge in three-pointers and a 10-2 margin at the free throw line.
Catara Dejarnette led the team with 11 points including 3 triples, while
Kirsten Williams also reached double figures with 10 points and 5 rebounds.
