Tiffin falls to Malone on the road 64-50

Box Score Tiffin University (4-12, 2-6 G-MAC) could not overcome a big deficit at the free throw line and the three-point line, falling at Malone 64-50.

Malone got off to a hot start, outscoring TU 24-10 in the first quarter. The Dragons improved their shooting to 60 percent in the second quarter, but the Pioneers started to pull away at the free throw line, holding a 12-2 edge at the line at halftime. 

While the Dragons trailed only 17-14 in the second quarter, they faced an overall hole of 41-24 at halftime.

The trend continued for Malone in the second half, as it eventually finished 18 of 21 from the line while the Dragons hit on 5 of 10. 

Malone also hit five more three-pointers in the game, connecting on 6 of 16 while Tiffin made just 1 of 11 triple attempts.

While Tiffin controlled scoring inside with a 42-26 advantage, Malone won the rebounding battle 35-28. 

Presley Feltner led the Dragons with 14 points and 8 rebounds, while Grace Craig also did well in the paint with 12 points. Catara Dejarnette also had 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Kirsten Williams had 5 points with 6 rebounds.
