Tiffin University (16-2, ranked 20th) fell to Wayne State (ranked 14th) in a battle of national powers 6-1.

Tiffin dropped its double point with two losses. Michael Gurtner/Matthew Telford fell 6-3 and Ruben Fonga/Matthew Weaver lost 6-1.

In singles, Fonga lost a close match 6-4, 7-6, while Gurtner fell 6-3, 6-1. Telford lost another narrow contest 7-6, 6-3, while Weaver fell 6-3, 6-3 and Maxime Navrotchi lost 6-1, 6-3.

The sole winner for TU was Cyrille Colomb, who pulled out a three-set victory 1-6, 6-4, 7-6.
