Tiffin University's
Zack Donathan took home the 141-pound title at the Midwest Classic at Indianapolis, Indiana.
Donathan got the win with two dramatic victories. In the semifinals, he got a sudden victory over Cayden Henschel of Wisconsin-Parkside 4-1 to advance to the title bout. In the championship, he narrowly beat Dylan Lucas of Central Oklahoma 4-3.
Tiffin's only other competitor on day two was
Lucas Salmon at 184 pounds. He surrendered via medical forfeit to Colorado Mesa.
Overall Tiffin finished 26th of 51 teams. They are now off until Jan. 5-6 at the NWCA National Duals in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
