The Tiffin University men's basketball team lost 86-81 to Malone.

The Dragons had a 12 point deficit at the free throw line, as TU shot 5-for-10, compared to the Pioneers that shot 17-for-24 from the charity stripe. 

The Dragons jumped out to an early 16-8 lead, and extended their lead to as many as ten points until the Pioneers went on a 14-3 run to take a 36-34 lead. 

The teams traded points with 20 ties and 28 lead changes in a close game. With less than three minutes left the Dragons led 80-77, but Malone fought back, outscoring the Dragons 9-1 in the final minutes to seal the 86-81 victory.    

Trent Williams led the Dragons with 21 points shooting 8-for-17 from the field and 5-for-7 from beyond the arc, grabbing two rebounds, and four assists. 

Tanner Johnson also hit double figures with 18 points shooting 5-for-8 from beyond the arc, three rebounds, and one assist, and teammate Thomas Hickman notched 12 points shooting 5-for-9 from the field, adding three assists and one rebound.
