Tiffin University (8-9, 1-2 GLIAC) had no luck in their three set matches, dropping three of four singles matches in falling to Wayne State 7-2.

Tiffin got its lone three set victory from Hugo Chatras in singles play 6-3, 1-6, 10-3, while the doubles tandem of Toby Cutting/Tom Arias got TU's other point in an 8-1 decision.

In three other singles matches, though, the Dragons could not pull out victories even though they took the first set in all three matches. Santiago de la Rosa Mora fell 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, Cutting fell 5-7, 6-0, 10-3, and Arias lost 2-6, 6-4, 10-8.

Luis Ludena/Elio Lezama Perez and Sorin Navrotchi/Nikita Parfenov also lost close doubles matches by 8-5 scores. Also in singles, Ludena fell 6-3, 6-0 and Parfenov lost 6-2, 6-2.
