Timberwolves Overtake Dragons 87-64

The Tiffin University women's basketball team suffered a GLIAC road setback on Thursday night, falling 87-64. Northwood dominated the glass, out rebounding the Dragons 50-25 which led to a 14-0 advantage in 2nd chance points.

The 1st quarter was a track meet for both sides as the Timberwolves scored 29 points while Tiffin netted 19 points. The Timberwolves put the game in their back pocket in the 2nd quarter, adding 21 points to their total. The Dragons managed only 12 points, and went to the half down 50-31.

The Dragons played much better in the 2nd half on the offensive end, totaling 33 points on 43% shooting from the field, but their defense couldn't keep up with the Timberwolves as Northwood scored 37 points to drop the Dragons 87-64.

Aida Santana Martin led Tiffin in scoring with 15 points on 6 of 11 shooting. Annie Santucci was a key contributor off the bench with 14 points and five rebounds, and Kiley May poured in 10 points, four boards, and three assists.

The Dragons fall to 6-11 overall and 2-7 in the GLIAC.
