TU wins 16th match with 5-2 win over Warriors

Tiffin University (16-7) battled hard against Wayne State, posting a 5-2 victory in the 5th place match at the GLIAC Men's Tennis Tournament.

The Dragons' victory gives them 16 for the season, their second highest win total ever. They won two of the three doubles matches to get off on the right foot.

Luis Ludena/Toby Cutting won 8-5, while Andrew Isaac/Sorin Navrotchi nipped their opponents 8-6. Agustin Mangone/Elio Lezama Perez fell in a close one 8-5.

In singles, TU won numerous 7-6 sets. Ludena won his match 7-6, 7-6, while Navrotchi got a win 7-6, 6-1. Agustin Mangone put TU over the top in the match with his 6-3, 6-3 win.

The lone singles loss came from Lezama in a close 7-6, 6-4 score.
