Tiffin University (2-1) opened its spring season with a trip to Davenport and walked out with a hard fought 6-3 victory.

TU set the tone with three close victories in doubles play. The doubles team of Luis Ludena/Toby Cutting and Elio Lezama Perez/Agustin Mangone both posted 8-6 wins, while Andrew Isaac/Sorin Navrotchi also won 8-5.

In singles, Isaac battled to a 7-6, 7-6 win while Justin Kopronica won in strong fashion 6-2, 6-0, but Ludena fell in a three set battle 1-6, 6-1, 7-5 as did Lezama 6-3, 2-6, 7-6. Cutting was the lone Dragons player to pull out a three set singles victory, winning 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.
