Tiffin University (4-1) continued the strong start to their season, defeating 40th-ranked Oberlin (11th in the region) 6-3 after a strong start from the doubles squads.

TU pulled out two close doubles matches in sweeping doubles play. Luis Ludena/Toby Cutting won 9-8 (8-6) while Agustin Mangone/Elio Lezama Perez also won 8-5. Andrew Isaac/Sorin Navrotchi also posted a 8-3 win to put TU up 3-0 heading to singles play.

TU picked up two more singles wins to put away the victory. Isaac won 6-3, 6-2 while Justin Kopronica also won in straight sets 6-2, 6-3. Lezama also got a win 6-3, 6-2.

Ludena retired from his match after winning the first set 6-4 but dropping the second 4-6. He trailed 1-4 in the third set. Cutting also lost a tough three set match, falling 2-6, 6-2, 0-1 (6-10), while Mangone also lost 5-7, 4-6.
