Tiffin University (2-0) jumped out to a first half lead and did not relinquish it, beating Salem International 2-1 on a sunny day at Paradiso Fields.

TU opened the scoring in the 11th minute when Michael McPeek took a header from Dylan O'Kane and drilled it into the right side of the net for a 1-0 lead. The Dragons held a one-goal lead at the break.

TU picked up a big insurance goal in the 47th minute when Abdoul Magid Sy took a cross from Limamu Mohammed and headed it home to lead 2-0.

Salem answered, taking advantage of a TU miscue to score in the 53rd minute, but the Dragons managed the clock and the ball over the final minutes to preserve the win.

TU controlled the offensive action, outshooting Salem 20-3 while also holding a big 16-2 edge in corner kicks.

Cary Wilson got the win in goal, while the Dragons defense held Salem to just 2 shots on goal in the game
