Tiffin University (1-0-1) got its first win of the season, scoring a goal in the 21st minute and letting the defense take over in a 1-0 win over Salem International.

Munbhir Bilal got the rebound goal in the 21st minute after a deflected shot by Oliver Verdult, giving TU a 1-0 lead at halftime.

The Dragons' defense then clamped down, allowing only 1 shot on goal and no corner kicks in the contest. Overall TU outshot Salem 10-7 and held a 5-0 edge in corner kicks.

Kyle Karagitz got the win in goal, making a save while earning the shutout.
