The Tiffin University volleyball team took care of business in their home opener, beating the Glenville State Pioneers 25-14, 25-15, and 25-11.
Tiffin came out in attack mode from the start, registering 18 kills in the opening set, their highest total of all three sets. Olivia Cobb and Alexandria Miglin anchored the Dragon attack, both totaling 10 kills in the contest. Tiffin racked up 46 kills in the match, and Emily Weithman was there to collect the assists, totaling 38.
Defensively, the Dragons were led by Meredith Wilson and Taylor Lattimore. Wilson notched 11 digs, and Lattimore added 10. The Dragons were dominant at the net, blocking six shots, and only allowing 13 kills in the three set match.
The win bumps the Dragons overall record to 2-3 overall. Tiffin will open GLIAC play this Friday, as they will travel to North Canton, Ohio to tangle with the Walsh Cavaliers.
