Tiffin University (0-5) couldn't get the offense to put the game away in the second half, falling in another close loss to Roberts Wesleyan 13-10.
The Dragons outshot RWC 33-29 in the game but went just 3 for 11 on free position shots, including an 0-for-6 mark in the second half. Tiffin won the draw controls 15-10 but could not make up a 2 goal margin late in the game.
Trailing 4-3 in the first half, RWC picked up three goals to give them some separation from TU right before halftime. TU trailed at the break 8-5.
With RWC leading 12-7 with 14:13 to play, Tiffin made its run, scoring 3 goals over the next two minutes, two of them from Alexis MacMillan to make it 12-10 with 4:29 to play. But TU could not get any closer.
Tori Nelson and MacMillan each had 3 goals, with Nelson also winning 4 draws. Morgan Sherley and Emily Roussel had 2 goals each. Amanda Flotteron had 3 assists, 4 ground balls, and 3 draw controls. Jessica Bombard took the loss in goal, making 14 saves.
