The Tiffin University women's basketball team fell Thursday evening to the Ohio Dominican Panthers by the final score of 91-72. The Panthers lit up the scoreboard in the 2nd half for 54 points.

This game was truly a tale of two halves. The Dragons and Panthers struggled to eclipse the 20 point threshold in the first 15 minutes of the game, but the Panthers caught fire late in the half and really turned up the heat in the 2nd half. At one point in the 1st half, the Panthers were shooting 20% from the field, but that was short lived. They were able to climb to 36.7% from the field by the half, but were 0 of 8 from three. What saved ODU in the 1st half was the charity stripe. The Panthers shot 19 free throws, making 15. Meanwhile, the Dragons shot for a better percentage from the field, were 2-3 from behind the arc, but made five less free throws than ODU. At the half, the Dragons climbed right back into the game to trail 37-34.

The Panthers were red hot in the 2nd half, shooting 8 of 9 from the field in the first five minutes of the 2nd half. An 18-4 run by Ohio Dominican put the Dragons down 55-38. Tiffin would fight to within 10 points, but the Panthers again clawed ahead and never looked back, coasting to a 91-72 victory.

The Dragons were led by Anya Misko, recording a double-double, with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Kaylee Patton pitched in 21 points, and Deidre McKay added 10. Ohio Dominican was led by Kacee Hockenberry with 27 points.

The Dragons will be back in action this Saturday as they play host to the Panthers at 1:00 pm.
