The Tiffin University women's basketball team fell Thursday evening to the Lake Erie Storm, 52-45. The Dragons struggled shooting, and turned the ball over 30 times.

Neither team could score the basketball early on in the 1st half. The Dragons only managed to shoot 34.8% from the field and Lake Erie was worse than that, at 32%. The two players that sparked the Dragons in the half were Macy Byrd and Shelby Cheston. Both players came off the bench and contributed points, rebounds, and blocks. The Dragons closed the gap before the half, and went to the locker room down 24-21. The main difference between the teams was Lake Erie's three point shooting. The Storm were 5 of 10 in the half and the Dragons 1 of 7.

The second half saw much of the same action from the first half. Tiffin finally found a spark midway through that gave them a brief lead. A Macy Byrd three regained the Dragon lead, but not for long. The Storm, somehow, found a way to pull it together and win a game in which they were 11 of 25 (40%) from the free throw line, and were out rebounded 45-31. Furthermore, the Storm managed to turn the ball over 19 times, but the Dragons eclipsed that mark by turning the ball over 30 times, and only shot 31.8% from the field. Tiffin went 4 of 17 from three, and missed key free throws down the stretch.

The Dragons were led in scoring by Jordan Fraley with 12 points, all coming in the 1st half. Bre Nauman notched another double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Macy Byrd finished with 7 points, and Shelby Cheston scored 4 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, and blocked 7 shots. Lake Erie was led in scoring by Jackie Murray with 17 points, shooting 4 of 8 from three.

The loss drops the Dragons to 7-18 overall and 6-13 in GLIAC play.
