The Tiffin University volleyball team completed their 2015-16 season with a 3-1 win against Walsh University. The Dragons were the model of consistency, racking up 15 kills in each set.
Set one took a few extra points, but Tiffin was able to pull out a 27-25 win. The Dragons made seven attack errors, but forced Walsh into eight, while holding the Cavaliers to a .154 hitting percentage.
Tiffin had a lapse in set two, allowing Walsh to sneak in and win set two 25-23. Tiffin had their most attack errors in any set with 10, which led to their lowest hitting percentage in any set, with a .125.
Set three was nothing short of domination, as Tiffin hit at a .464 clip, and made only two attack errors. On the other side of the net, Walsh hit .000, and made seven attack errors.
The final set saw Walsh fall apart, hitting at -.050, with nine attack errors and only seven kills. Tiffin didn't perform as well as they did in the 3rd set, but they got the job done, winning the set 25-17.
Amanda Curry led the attack with 14 kills, and Kasey Adelsperger added 12 kills and assisted in six blocks. Victoria Turnbough chipped in with 10 kills and three total blocks, and Emily Weithman collected 51 assists and made 15 digs.
The win caps off an 11-18 regular season, and a conference record of 6-12.
