Tiffin University put up a fierce battle in the first set but came up short, leading to a Hillsdale victory in three sets 25-22, 25-9, 25-15.
The Dragons (10-14, 5-8 GLIAC) battled Hillsdale tooth and nail throughout the opening set, tying the score late at 21-21. But the Chargers rallied to win four of the next five points to put the set away.
It was all Hillsdale in set two, as TU hit -.222 in falling by 16 points. In the third set, TU hung tight early. But with the score tied 11-11, Hillsdale went on a big 14-4 run to put the match away.
Overall Hillsdale outhit TU .282 to .056, as Olivia Cobb once again led the Dragons with 8 kills and 9 digs but also committed 7 of TU's 23 attack errors. Kasey Adelsperger had 7 kills, followed by Amanda Curry with 5 kills and Victoria Turnbough with 4 kills. Emily Weithman had 26 assists while Taylor Lattimore had 22 digs.
