After a competitive first set, Tiffin University's hitters could not get back on track, as a team hitting percentage of .012 led to a 25-19, 25-16, 25-7 defeat at the hands of Northern Michigan. TU falls to 9-12, 5-6 GLIAC.
TU hit .269 in set one, outhitting the Wildcats, but a 10-6 NMU run gave them a 21-16 cushion. Leading 22-19, the Wildcats won the final three points to put away the first set.
After that, TU managed to hit just .067 in set two and -.276 in set three, while the Wildcats came to life, hitting .364 and .250 respectively. Overall NMU hit .278. The Dragons had 20 kills and 19 attack errors.
Kasey Adelsperger had 8 kills to lead the team but also made 7 errors. Victoria Turnbough had 5 kills and 4 blocks while Olivia Cobb and Amanda Curry had 3 kills each. Emily Weithman had 20 assists.
