The Tiffin University volleyball team fell on the road to the Northwood University Timberwolves, 25-10, 25-11, and 25-22.
Set one was all Northwood, slamming 14 kills, while committing only two attack errors. Meanwhile, the Dragons struggled, hitting .190 for the set with only eight kills. Big runs for the Timberwolves aided the set one win, twice rattling off six points in a row.
Set two didn't go much better for the Dragons, falling behind 10-2 before scoring four straight points to narrow the gap. Northwood then slammed the door shut on the Dragons, bolting ahead on a 15-5 run to take a two set to none advantage. The final set was much closer than the previous two, as Tiffin was able to avoid a slow start. The set went back and forth for the majority of the time, but the Timberwolves were able to hold off a late Dragon surge to win set three 25-22.
For Tiffin, Victoria Turnbough finished with six kills and assisted in three blocks. Alexandria Miglin and Amanda Curry each finished with four kills, and Emily Weithman dished out 18 assists.
