Tiffin University traveled down to Columbus on Tuesday night to take on Ohio Dominican in their final match of a three-game road stint in the season's first month. Ohio Dominican came away with a 3-2 victory. The Dragons have now lost three matches in a row after a four match winning streak.
The Panthers got out to a quick start by winning the first set 25-17. After the teams switched sides in set two, the Dragons made it much closer, but the Panthers still came away with a 25-22 victory. Set three was all Dragons, as they hit .268 and won 25-21. In the fourth and final set the Panthers came back to finish the match by a score of 25-21.
Leading the Dragons offensively was Lu Phillips with 11 kills and three aces. Ally Kohlhase and Tiffany Buchinger each added eight kills. Buchinger also added two aces and 35 assists. Taylor Lattimore led the Dragons in digs, recording 23 for the contest. Phillips also added 13 digs while Sarah Haman finished the contest with 10.
Tiffin falls to 4-4, 2-3 (GLIAC) and Ohio Dominican improves to 6-5, 4-1 (GLIAC). The Dragons next match will come during the Homecoming festivities on campus this weekend as they host Ferris State on Friday at 5:00 PM.
