Tiffin University (4-2, 2-1 GLIAC) couldn't find consistency on the road against Saginaw Valley State, falling 25-20, 25-21, 23-25, 25-18.
Tiffin hit just .143 as a team, falling behind 17-9 in the first game and failing to catch up. They jumped out to a 20-18 lead in set two but couldn't hold the lead as they fell behind 2-0.
Tiffin then staged a comeback of their own in set three, trailing 23-20 before running off five straight points to force a fourth set.
Lu Phillips had 14 kills and 13 digs, while Olivia Cobb and Ally Kohlhase had 9 kills apiece. Kohlhase also had 7 blocks, while Jillian Campbell had 4 kills and 6 blocks.
Tiffany Buchinger had 5 kills with 37 assists, while Taylor Lattimore had 26 digs to lead the team. Chelsea Stockmeyer added 5 kills and 4 blocks. Sarah Haman contribued 13 digs.
