Tiffin University (10-9, 3-3 GLIAC) pulled out numerous close GLIAC matches early in the season, but recently the tide has turned against the Dragons, as they dropped their third straight conference match in close fashion, this time to Findlay 5-4.
After Kyle Johnson/Nicholas Almeida fell 8-2 in doubles play, Ben Fievet/Jordon Simon-Chopard dropped a close one 8-6. Robbie Ball/Agustin Mangone narrowly won their match 9-8.
Down a point heading to singles play, Mangone picked up a 6-1, 7-5 victory. Johnson won a three-setter 6-3, 4-6, 6-2, while Simon-Chopard also pulled out a marathon win 6-4, 6-7, 6-4.
The Dragons could not come up with the winning point in their other three matches, however. Almeida fell in three sets 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, while Fievet (6-3, 6-4) and Ball (6-4, 6-3) fell in close straight set matches.
