Tiffin University (9-4) fell in a tough three set match at sixth singles and it proved to be the difference as they fell 5-4 to the University of Charleston at Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Tiffin led 2-1 after doubles play. Robbie Ball/Agustin Mangone won a close one 8-6, while Ben Fievet/Jordon Simon-Chopard posted a 8-3 win. Kyle Johnson/Nicholas Almeida fell 8-3.
Things started to come apart in singles play. While Simon-Chopard pulled out a 6-4, 3-6, 10-3 win and Mangone won 6-2, 6-2, Ball (6-4, 6-4) and Johnson (6-1, 6-1) both lost tough singles matches. Almeida also fell 6-4, 6-4, and Victor Fernandes was unable to win his marathon sixth singles match 2-6, 6-3, 10-8.
