Tiffin University (7-18, 4-17 GLIAC) made a number of runs at Ohio Dominican during the second half of their 86-77 loss to the Panthers, but it wasn't enough, as the Dragons led only once and fell in a close battle.

The Dragons trailed by as much as 11 points in the first half before cutting the lead to 36-31 at halftime. Things started well for the Dragons in the second half, as they went on a 16-9 run early in the half to take their only lead 52-51 with 11:57 to play.

But the Panthers responded immediately, going on a 19-7 run over the next 6:30 to jump back out to a 70-59 lead.

Once again the Dragons battled back. Trailing by 13 with 3:32 left, TU went on a 10-0 run to cut the deficit to just 3 points with 2:08 to play.

But the Dragons could not get over the hump a second time, as ODU finished on a 10-4 run to put the game away.

Ohio Dominican was hot from the floor all night, shooting 56 percent overall and 61 percent in the second half, while the Dragons finished at a 35 percent clip.

Bre Nauman led the Dragons with 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Jillian Adams had 12 points and 7 rebounds and Jessica Farr had 7 points and 9 rebounds in a strong overall post effort. Jordan Fraley added 13 points while Kaylee Patton had 9.
