The Eagles must have remembered, because it was a totally different story in the rematch, as Ashland amassed a huge 66-31 halftime lead and cruised past TU 108-65.
Ashland led just 10-8 at the 15:41 mark but then erupted on a 56-23 run over the rest of the half to put the game away. They shot 81 percent in the first half, including a perfect 9 for 9 from three point and also connecting on a perfect 13 for 13 from the line.
For the game the Eagles shot 63 percent, including 73 percent from three point land (11 for 15). They outrebounded TU 42-34.
For TU Karli Mast was the lone player in double figures, finishing with 13. Kaylee Patton had 9, and Katie Miller and Anya Misko had 8 apiece, with Misko leading the team with 7 rebounds.
