The Tiffin University Dragons women's basketball team fell 66-48 to the Notre Dame College Falcons. The Dragons struggled out of the gate and never caught up as they trailed 32-23 at the half.
The Falcons were led in scoring by Martha Nagbe and Kelsey Miller who each scored 12 points. Nagbe pitched in 14 boards as well. Molly Ritz added 11 points and 7 rebounds, and Jessica Garcia came off the bench to score 11 points. The Falcons outrebounded the Dragons 45-35, and forced the Dragons into 16 turnovers. Notre Dame improves their overall record to 4-4.
The Dragons never led in the game. The last time the Dragons were tied with the Falcons was at the 14:51 mark in the 1st half when the score was tied at 7-7. The Dragons were led in scoring by Kaylee Patton, who scored 11 points and added 5 assists. Jessica Farr chipped in with 10 points and grabbed 5 boards. The Dragons shot 32% from the field, 25% from three, and 68.4% from the free throw stripe. The Dragons fall to 1-6 overall.
The Dragons will play Sunday Dec. 14 on the road against the Grand Valley State Lakers at 1 pm.
