Tiffin volleyball spent Saturday on the road and came home victorious. The Dragons traveled to Painesville to battle with Lake Erie College. Tiffin swept the match 25-16, 26-24, 25-22.
In set 1 The Dragons doubled up Lake Erie with 18 kills to the Storm's 9. For the match Tiffin had 48 kills, 12 more than the Storm. Sets 2 and 3 were the closest of the match with the Dragons winning the final 2 sets by a total of 5 points. The stats tell a different story. Tiffin led in assists 46-33 and digs 53-37.
Tiffany Buchinger led the Dragons with 38 assists, while Olivia Cobb led Tiffin with 14 kills and Lu Phillips added 11. Taylor Lattimore had 14 digs, followed by Cobb and Phillips with 8 each.
Tiffin improves to 12-13, 6-10 GLIAC. Lake Erie falls to 2-23, 0-16 GLIAC. The Dragons have 2 matches remaining, November 7 at Malone and November 8 at Walsh.
