The Findlay Oilers improved their record to 14-6 overall and 9-3 in the GLIAC South Division. The Oilers took down the Dragons in three sets on Friday night, 25-22, 25-13, and 25-15. The Dragons could not hold up to the barrage sent forth by the Oilers. Hannah Tong led the way for the Oilers with 9 kills. Julie Lyons chipped in 8 kills, and Nickyla Garverick added 7 kills. Amanda Calhoun led Findlay with 35 assists.
The Dragons were led by Chelsea Stockmeyer who recorded 7 kills for her squad. Alexandria Miglin and Olivia Cobb both added 5 kills a piece. Tiffany Buchinger dished out 21 assists on the night for the Dragons. The Dragons struggled to get anything going offensively as the Oilers recorded 8 blocks on the evening compared to none for the Dragons.
The Dragons fall to 10-11 overall and 4-8 in conference play. The Dragons will look to get back on the winning side of the scoreboard tomorrow afternoon as they welcome in Hillsdale. The match is slated for a 2 o'clock start time.
