Hitting woes lead to loss to Wildcats

Tiffin hit just .138 in its match with Northern Michigan, falling to the Wildcats 25-21, 25-16, 25-23. The loss drops TU to 8-8 overall, 4-7 GLIAC.

Chelsea Stockmeyer was the lone Dragons player that hit well in the game, posting a .308 percentage on her way to a team-best 12 kills. Lu Phillips had 9 kills with 11 digs. Tiffany Buchinger had 29 assists while Taylor Lattimore totaled 16 digs.

Tiffin had its chances in the first set. Leading 21-20, the Wildcats ripped off five straight points to go up 1-0. A 10-2 run in the middle of set two led to another win for the Wildcats and a 2-0 lead.

TU opened on fire in set three, opening with a 10-2 run. But NMU went on a 14-6 run to tie the score at 16-16 before With the score tied at 23-23, a kill by the Wildcats and an attack error by the Dragons ended the match.
