Tiffin University Volleyball took the long trip to the Upper Peninsula and faced a good Michigan Tech team. The Dragons will regroup as they prepare for the next match after the Huskies controlled the contest with Tiffin for a straight set victory.
The Dragons played their best set in the match in set 1. Michigan Tech ground out the first set victory 25-20. TU had 10 kills in the first set and was right behind the Huskies 12. In set 2 the Dragons kills and hitting percentage went down and Tech's went up resulting in the lowest set score for the day for Tiffin as they fell 25-9.
Set 3 mirrored set 2 more than set 1 as the Dragons fell 25-12 for the straight set victory for the Huskies. Lu Phillips led Tiffin with 6 kills. Tiffany Buchinger chipped in 17 assists and Taylor Lattimore contributed 28 digs.
Tiffin falls to 8-7, 4-6 GLIAC. Michigan Tech improves to 8-8, 6-4 GLIAC. The Dragons continue their trek through the North when they play Northern Michigan Saturday at 4:00 PM.
