COLUMBUS, Ohio - Junior Joe Graessle broke the single season scoring record as the Tiffin University men's basketball team (11-17, 8-14 GLIAC) beat Ohio Dominican (5-23, 1-21 GLIAC) 90-78, Saturday afternoon at Alumni Hall. Tiffin has finished the 2012-13 season
The action was back-and-forth for the first four minutes of the game. Mark Minch hit a free throw to tie the game at 6-6 with 16:45 to go.
Tiffin led by six, 20-14 at the 10:29 mark. The Dragons scored 11 straight points and were never challenged the rest of the way.
For Tiffin, Graessle had 23 points, his 13th straight 20+ scoring performance. He also finished with 691 points, breaking the season record of 681 set in 1992-93 by Jeff Ward. Junior Mike Boan had 10 points, freshman Jonathan Sutherlin had 10 points and nine rebounds and freshman Khaleal McCormick scored 10.
For Ohio Dominican, John Trew scored 21 points and Morgan Jones had 14 points and six assists.
