Ice-cold shooting and an abundance of turnovers spelled doom for Tiffin University (10-11, 7-10 GLIAC), as the Dragons fell to Findlay (17-4, 14-3) 62-44 at the Gillmor Center.
Tiffin shot just 25 percent in the first half, going nearly 17 minutes with just one made field goal, as Findlay took a 29-17 lead at the half despite shooting just 36 percent. The Dragons improved to 37 percent shooting after halftime, bouncing back from an 19 point deficit to cut the deficit to 11, but could get no closer.
Overall TU shot just 31 percent and had 22 turnovers, 15 of those in the opening half. Findlay also outscored TU at the line 20-12 and held a 22-5 edge in points off turnovers.
Jessica Harris led the Dragons with 8 points and 8 rebounds, while Stephanie Kelly also had 8 points with 7 assists. Erica Mathis had 7 points, while Jillian Adams and Mackenzie Storlie had 5 rebounds apiece.
