Dragons stumble at Lake Erie

Tiffin University started off poorly, came back, but then could not pull out the win in a narrow 50-43 loss at Lake Erie.

The Dragons, who shot just 27 percent in the game, came out of the gate sluggish, falling behind 17-3 after the first eight minutes. TU trailed at the half 25-13 but stayed in the game due to Lake Erie's own shooting woes.

The Dragons started their comeback in the second half, putting together a 26-11 run that brought them back to within four points at the 9:33 mark. TU then pulled to within two points with 4:29 left but then went cold, scoring just three more points over the remainder of the game. Lake Erie put together a 8-3 run to close out the game.

Tiffin, which had 20 turnovers to Lake Erie's 10, was led by Jessica Harris with 13 points and 15 rebounds. No other Dragons player reached double figures. Stephanie Kelly had 7 points with 4 assists while Jillian Adams also had 7 points with 5 rebounds.
