Tiffin University wasted little time jumping ahead of Lake Erie, improving their record to 9-8, 6-7 GLIAC with a solid offensive and defensive effort in posting a 73-47 victory.
Tifin dominated the scoreboard in the first half, putting together a 36-14 run over the final 17 minutes of the half to take a 37-18 halftime lead. Tiffin held the Storm to just 25 percent shooting in the game and also held a 27-10 edge in foul line scoring. Tiffin was aggressive inside, outscoring Lake Erie 22-14 in the paint and outrebounding the Storm 48-30.
Tiffin also had a strong bench effort, holding a 34-19 edge off the bench. Seven different Dragons scored 6 or more points, with Mackenzie Storlie leading the way with 16 points and 9 rebounds along with 3 assists. She also hit 10 of 14 free throws, helping the Dragons as a team hit 27 of 33 foul shots.
Jillian Adams and Jessica Farr added 10 points each, while Jordan Fraley had 8 points, Stephanie Kelly and Macy Byrd had 7 apiece, and Erica Mathis had 6 points and 5 rebounds. Jessica Harris led all rebounders with 13 rebounds.
