The Dragons led by 11 in the second half but could not hold off Walsh, as the Cavaliers came back to beat TU (6-11, 3-9 GLIAC) in overtime 95-89.
With the Dragons leading by 9 points with 8:23 to play, Walsh put together a 14-5 run that tied the score 71-71 with 2:42 to play in regulation. Tiffin's Eric Roby put the Dragons up by 2 points with 14 seconds left but Walsh drove down the court and hit a layup with 11 ticks left to tie the game again. Isiah Twine's last second shot did not fall and the game went to bonus time.
In overtime and tied 82-82 with 2:53 to play, Walsh went on another 12-4 run to jump ahead by 8 points with 10 seconds left and ice the game.
The Cavaliers used a strong inside game to outscore TU 44-28 in the paint while also using their bench to a 23-5 advantage. They outshot TU 54-47 percent and scored more at the free throw line 21-14.
Joe Graessle had another outstanding game, totaling 37 points and finishing his week averaging 42 points per game for the week. Roby had a strong game with 26 points and 14 rebounds, while Mike Boan also had 11 points and 5 rebounds.
