Tiffin University put up a hard fight but could not win the close matches, falling to Grand Valley State in a GLIAC matchup 6-3. The Dragons fall to 9-4, 1-2 in the conference.

Leonid Vladimirov/Robbie Ball posted a tough 8-5 win in doubles play, but TU fell in two other doubles matches. Luiz Carvalho/Kyle Johnson fell 8-5 and Brian Coffman/Andres Torres lost 9-7.

In singles play, things took an ominous turn when Carvalho had to retire due to injury at first singles, putting the Dragons in a 3-1 hole. The Lakers then won three of the remaining five singles matches to put the match away.

Coffman won 7-6 (4), 6-3, while Vladimirov won a grueling 3-6, 7-6 (4), 10-7 match for TU's other wins. Johnson, Ball, and Torres all fell in straight sets, with Ball losing the closest match 6-1, 7-5.
