TIFFIN, Ohio - Junior Jordan Jenkins had her 19th double-digit dig performance as the Tiffin University volleyball team (8-17, 1-13 GLIAC) lost 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-20) to Ohio Dominican (11-14, 5-9 GLIAC), Tuesday evening at the Gillmor Center.
In the first set, Ohio Dominican cruised to an early 12-6 lead. Tiffin came back with a 4-1 burst. Freshman Alex Miglin went cross court for a kill to make it 13-10. The Panthers reeled off five straight points to effectively end the set.
In the second set, the two clubs battled back and forth early on. Junior Danielle McQuade ripped a shot in the middle to make it 10-8, ODU.
Ohio Dominican scored three straight points to make it 13-8. Tiffin came fighting back with a 3-1 run. The Dragons stuffed Tory Thompson to make it 14-11. The Panthers put up a 7-1 run to end the set.
In the third set, Tiffin showed some fire. The Dragons got a kill off the block from Miglin. That gave TU a 12-10 lead. ODU took the lead at 18-14. McQuade slammed one home to make it 18-15. Ohio Dominican scored the next four points to effectively end the match.
Jenkins had 30 digs, her fourth straight 20+ performance and 16th double-digit performance in a row. McQuade had 11 digs and sophomore Tiffany Buchinger added 10.
For Ohio Dominican, Caitlin Kusan had 13 kills and hit .458. Thompson had a solid night with 11 kills and 24 digs. Bailey Barker had 12 digs.
