And yet it didn't matter, as the Dragons defense dominated Saginaw Valley State all night en route to a 57-35 victory on the road. TU improves to 15-4, 10-3 in the GLIAC.
After a close first half led to a 26-21 Dragons halftime lead, it was all TU in the second half. The Dragons had held the Cardinals to 30 percent shooting in the first half but improved to 20 percent in the second half and outdistanced them 31-14 on the scoreboard.
TU forced 21 turnovers with 14 steals and outrebounded SVSU 42-36. The Dragons also held a massive 19-0 scoring edge off the bench.
Jessica Harris led the way with 11 points and 11 rebounds along with 4 steals, while Mandy Jaeb also had 11 points and 4 assists. Jillian Adams totaled 6 points with 7 rebounds, Karli Mast had 7 points, and Amanda Baute had 6 points and 5 rebounds.
