Tiffin University picked up its first spring win of the year, beating Findlay 5-4 to improve their record to 2-3. The match was played as a non-conference matchup as Findlay and Tiffin are scheduled to meet at Findlay on March 30.
TU got the dramatic victory on its last match of the day at sixth singles, where Craig Martin battled to a 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 win over Bryan Little.
The Dragons started the day with two wins at doubles, as Luiz Carvalho/Andres Torres (8-5) and Robbie Ball/Brian Coffman (8-3) picked up wins at first and second doubles, respectively. Martin/Santiago Revelo fell in a narrow third doubles match 8-9.
In singles play, Brian Coffman also won a battle at third singles 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 while Leonid Vladimirov also won at fifth singles 6-0, 6-3.
Torres fell in a close fourth singles match 2-6, 7-6, 1-6, while Ball also lost a heartbreaker at second singles 6-7, 6-7. Carvalho dropped a straight set singles match 2-6, 2-6.
