Box Score $website.include("options")

Tiffin University and Hillsdale College hit the floor with matching 3-0 records in the GLIAC, so obviously something had to give. Unfortunately for the Dragons, Hillsdale used strong hitting to come out on top 18-25, 24-26, 17-25 to remain unbeaten at 4-0 in conference play.

The Chargers (7-1 overall) hit .310 in set one, as a late run gave them the separation necessary to post a 7 point victory. TU hit just .067 in the first set.

The Dragons (5-3, 3-1 GLIAC) fought back hard in set two, matching the Chargers point for point before finally falling 24-26 in the pivotal game. The two teams posted nearly identical hitting percentages in game two, which proved to be a big momentum swing as Hillsdale picked up the 2-0 advantage heading into set three.

Hillsdale recognized they had TU on the ropes and hit a match-best .353 while TU hit .025 in the 17-25 loss to end the match.

Danielle McQuade led TU with 9 kills and a .300 percentage, while Brooke Bernabei had 8 kills along with 6 errors in 31 chances (.065). Jessica Adams had 23 assists while Lindsay Heller had 16 digs.

TU returns to the court against Wayne State Sept. 18 at 7 pm.
