Tiffin University athletics announced the appointment of Andrew Micale as the new Head Strength and Conditioning Coach prior to the start of the 2026-27 academic year.
Micale comes to Tiffin after serving as a Graduate Assistant with the University of Findlay strength and conditioning staff, where he assisted in developing and implementing training programs for multiple varsity teams. During his time with the Oilers, he coordinated baseball speed and conditioning sessions, worked with injured athletes through individualized recovery programs, and assisted with the design of in-season and off-season training plans. He also oversaw strength and speed programming for the men's and women's golf teams.
Most recently, Micale served as a Summer Strength and Conditioning Coach at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. In that role, he coached athletes through strength, power, and speed development sessions while working with advanced performance technologies including Perch, GPS tracking systems, and VALD performance assessment tools.
Micale is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and holds CPR/AED certification. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Findlay in 2024 and completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Findlay in 2026.
A former NCAA Division II student-athlete, Micale was a three-year starter for the University of Findlay baseball program. He helped the Oilers set a school record for victories during the 2023 season.
As Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, Micale will oversee the design and implementation of athletic performance programs for Tiffin University's varsity sports, working closely with coaches and support staff to enhance performance, reduce injury risk, and support the overall development of Dragon student-athletes.
