Gross finished 11-6 with 40 takedowns and 23 escapes.

2017-18:

Gross went 4-6 during his freshman campaign, executing 27 takedowns and nine escapes.

Personal:

Derek is the son of Tom and Ruby Gross. He has five siblings and will be majoring in Education.

High School:

Derek is a graduate of Norwalk St. Paul High School. While attending, he was a four time state placer.
