Jay is the son of Anthony Barnum, Shawndreaka Moten, Craig Griffen, and Paul Williams, and has three siblings. He is undecided on his major.

High School:

Jay was a three-time Offensive Player of the Year, 1st team All Conference, and Honorable Mention All State...also competed in track and basketball.
