Shawn Tafe enters his first year with the Tiffin University football coaching staff in 2024. He serves as assistant defensive backs coach.
Tafe served from 2021-24 as an assistant coach at St. Thomas More School, serving most recently as defensive coordinator, defensive backs coach, and pass game coordinator. He also has experience coaching special teams.
He played for the University of New Haven and was a three-year starter at safety. He was a two-time All NE10 performer who is fifth in career interceptions at New Haven. He helped lead the team to the NE10 championship in 2021 while also helping New Haven reach the second round of the NCAA championships in both 2018 and 2021.
He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management from New Haven.
