Annesley Day and Emilio Arellano have been named MST January Scholar Athletes.

Annesley Day (So.), Women's Wrestling: Day, a sophomore from Pflugerville, Texas, posted a record of 12-1 for the month. Her only loss came to a nationally ranked NAIA opponent, with six of her wins by fall and five by technical fall. She won the Alma Open Jan 17 at 124 pounds and finished third at the Indiana Tech Open Jan 23/24.                

Emilio Arellano (Sr.), Men's Wrestling: Arellano, a senior from Toledo, Ohio, went 8-1 in the month of January with two wins coming against the #2 ranked wrestler in the country. Emilio was the G-MAC champion as well as the Wrestler of the Meet at 174 lbs. He is majoring in International Business.
