Ramon Rodriguez headlined the Dragons' weekend competition, breaking the 3K (3000 meter run) record at the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University.
The Dragons also had athletes competing at Saginaw Valley's Jet's Pizza Invitational.
Terrier Classic notable results:
Rodriguez placed 26th overall in the 3000 meter run breaking the school record with a time of 7:58.26. That time is also the seventh best in NCAA Division II to date.
Isaac Houghton finished 42nd overall in the 5000 meter run recording a new personal best time of 14:27.88.
Jet's Pizza Invitational notable results:
William Rahm won the pole vault with a mark of 4.70 meters (15' 5").
Johnny Howard won the heptathlon recording five new personal bests in the process.
Thomas Nelson placed second in the weight throw with a mark of 19.35 meters (63' 6").
Brock Carlson finished second in the shot put with a mark of 16.74 meters (54' 11.25").
Both Howard and Octavious Joe recorded national provo marks. Joe placed second in the heptathlon recording three new personal bests.
